A towering Aloe tree that reaches over 15 meters, native to South Africa and Namibia. Its unique appearance comes from a mostly bare, upright trunk topped with clusters of short leaves, and as the plant matures, the tips branch out evenly. This branching gives it the look of arrows in a quiver, earning it the nickname "Giant Quiver Tree.(巨大な矢筒の木)". Its scientific name is probably derived from South African botanist Neville Stuart Pillans. While A. dichotoma is the usual giant tree that comes to mind, this species is quite different in terms of its leaves and branching style. It's also classified as endangered, making it a truly rare find.
