A new variegated type of Parry agave that began appearing on the market around 2022, characterized by its dramatic contrast: the bold marginal variegation sometimes shifts to unilateral stripe variegation. While the sharply defined thin stripes look stunning, there seems to be quite a bit of variation from plant to plant, so it might end up being a competition of whose is best… When young, they closely resemble Agave potatorum 'Kisshoukan Nishiki' A. potatorum 'Kisshoukan Nishiki' , making it quite challenging to tell them apart (to be honest, I can’t even guarantee the plantlet in the photo isn’t a 'Kisshoukan Nishiki'…).
