CACTACEAE Astrophytum coahuilense 'Hakuran'

Also Known As JA 白ランモンスト JA 白ランポーモンスト

This is a monstrose form of A. coahuilense , featuring a distinctive white body dusted with countless star-like dots, but abandoning the typical rounded shape of Astrophytum for elongated tubercles that form a flower-like silhouette. This unique plant was first discovered in 1981 at Naritasan in Aichi Prefecture. Although it's popularly known in Japan as 'Shiro-ran Monst', overseas it’s simply called 'Hakuran,' taking just the first part of its Japanese name.
