True to the name "blue column cactus," this striking plant features a fluffy blue-gray body adorned with sharp yellow spines. Native to southern Argentina, it makes a strong impression by growing just like this to heights of 4–8 meters. Though it comes from higher elevations, it's safest to keep it indoors during winter. Some sources refer to this species as "azureus," but there appears to be no verified species called A. azureus . Its shape is a bit different, too, so it might actually be a separate species.
