This attractive succulent houseplant features a beautiful two-tone combination of brown and silvery leaves. Its soft, velvety fuzz gives a plush look, similar to velvet leaf or 'Fang,' though the hairs here are a bit shorter. Like them, this is a woody plant, and as it matures, it can grow into a small tree up to about 1 meter tall.

Despite its appearance, those fine hairs are actually to protect the leaves from direct sunlight, not from cold. In fact, it doesn’t like the cold at all—its minimum temperature tolerance is just 5°C (41°F). Be sure to bring it indoors for the winter to keep it happy.
