This plant gives the impression of being a slightly larger version of G. mendozae , with a color tone reminiscent of the more matte G. 'Bashful' . What’s often distributed under the name Echeveria 'Paradox' is probably this one. Originally, it was classified as its own wild species, Echeveria paradoxale, but later it was found to be a hybrid—that’s where the name comes from. It’s a historically significant variety, first documented around 1938.
