Just like its name suggests, this Senecio is a bold, spear-tip-shaped succulent that looks like a valiant warrior from the Senecio clan—or at least, that's the impression its shape gives! While its spiky-looking leaves appear fierce at first, take a closer look and you'll notice that the edges are rounded and the tips are soft, not prickly or painful at all. Over time, its tsundere (tough-but-secretly-sweet) charm grows on you, much like a princely character in a story. If it doesn't get enough sunlight, the leaves will become rounder. This is a shrubby species that grows taller each year, and in the right outdoor conditions, Senecio kleiniiformis can become a small bush over 30 cm tall. It's easily propagated by cuttings. Be careful, though—while it's not too difficult to care for, it's sensitive to cold. Even if it doesn't die back in winter, it may shrink in size.
