Commonly known as "Red Aloe (Red Aloe)." As the name suggests, it's an aloe that can turn a vivid red. Or so I've thought while growing it for some time, but in reality, it only gets a bit of a reddish-brown hue in strong sunlight and rarely becomes truly "red." Still, it seems like it would make a great accent in a rock garden. In Japan, seed-grown seedlings are starting to become available, but since it's not especially well known and isn't strikingly red unless conditions are just right, it actually remains pretty affordable.

Aloe cameronii. It turns bright red when you withhold water. It's native to south Africa. https://t.co/1p9isJUC3q
My lonely red aloe cameronii. I sold all the aloe vera since it's easy to find and got a more exotic South African variety. This mama will be the mother of many off shoots oneday. https://t.co/UQR8ZUbfz6
