カナリー諸島というレア環境にお住まいのユーフォルビア。大鳳角 E. coerulescens やラクテア E. lactea に似たシンプルな四角柱ながら、名前の通りダークトーンのボディと、四隅に装備したトゲが厳つくて、シックでたくましい印象。グリーンウェイ E. greenwayii とともに個人的に注目している次世代ユーフォルビア。
